Thursday Night Football with the New Orleans Saints looking to snap a miserable 4 game losing streak against an equally dismal-lately Dallas. The Cowboys having lost the last two but they have Dak Prescott. The Cowboys QB threw 238 yards with a 26/40 completion and was only intercepted once. His opposite counterpart Taysom Hill was better in rushing that quarterbacking. He led the way with 101 yards in rushing(want something done right darn do it yourself) but threw 19/41 with a, to his credit, a strong arm 264 yards. Dak started slow though at 0-3 from the first three throws. That changed with the first quarter winding down, watch the pass to Cooper at 0-0 02:55. Dallas also have CeeDee Lamb and the wide receiver was at his best for them with 89 yards and 7 carries. The only TD of Q1 , time seems to stand still as Gallup only just caught Dak’s angled pass to the EZ corner.

New Orleans got back in the match early in Q2. Humphrey proving he also can finds the EZ corner after a superb find from Hill. Greg Zuerlin, ever so reliable with the boot made sure Dallas still had the lead at half time. Crucially in the context of the match, Hill had a massive 4 interceptions for the match. Way ABOVE my standard 2 for a QB. This may indicate one of two things. One, the Cowboys’ linebackers were switched on and did their job well. Two, Hill was put under pressure by the Tackles from poor protection from his Tackle guards such that he made the errors. Watch 10-7 02:30. Great possession play allowed the Cowboys to seize control of the match in Q3. Tony Pollard with a huge 60 yard run to the Saints EZ TO PUT DAYLIGHT BETWEEN Dallas and New Orleans almost insurmountably at 13-10 04:10. His speed too much even for the Tackle.

What was left was for the Cowboys to get hold of the ball , keep it and close out the match in Q4. Great start with the sack on Hill by Parsons. It was all over as Hill produced a 3 interception quarter of which one of them led to a TD for Carlos Watkins to put Taysom out of his misery at 20-10 03:00. I will call a spade a spade. The best TD of the match was the last one by Harris when it was desperation time at 27-10 02:40. But it was just a consolation. The Saints now 5-7 and prop up the NFC South , struggling as the regular season enters the business end. Cowboys still top of NFC East with 8-4 record.
