Magnus Cort held off the late challenge from Primoz Roglic atop the Alto de la Montaña de Cullera. A peculiar course which started with a descent and finishing with a 9.4 percent climb made for an intriguing race. Most importantly for Roglic he was well clear of his rivals in the GC when he finished second behind Magnus. Roglic is now 25 seconds ahead of Enric Mas of Spain and 36 seconds ahead of Miguel Moreno in the race in the GC. Magnus was constantly looking back to see where Primoz was showing he had a bit of fear in him but he managed to pip him but only just. Primoz probably realizing the yellow jersey was safe slowing just before the finish.
