In just over an hour and 15 minutes ,KARATSEV captured his first title ever in straight sets 6-3 6-2. Either way we were going to get a first time winner here as both were going for it. Harris will look back in the first set with Aslan up 4-1 and 40-0 on the Harris serve. Lloyd fought back to hold serve but he failed to build on that impressive feat.

Aslan gotvthe first break of the second set in the first game and never looked back. He was playing great tennis with a swagger. The route to getting back into the game for Harris was for him to get his first serve in and finish the point off quickly with the next shot or the one after. He failed to do so when it matters most. He won just 17% of his points on second serve. A few errors from Karatsev opened the window slightly for Harris at 3-2 down break point 30-40 but that was quickly closed in a flash by a forehand and volley at the net combo by Aslan. Karatsev would go on to hold to go up 4-2 and break next game to put the outcome beyond doubt. He held to love for a 6-2 second set win. The rising star from Russia producing 27 winners to Harris’s 11 in doing so.
